"Remember Me"

Here's a little composition I made for my novel, "Petrichor".

One of the most heartbreaking moments in life is when something you hold sacred is forgotten.

Once upon a time, 

I moved into Stratford Court 

and quickly discovered that my room-roommate 

was a living, breathing form

of one of my characters in the book I'm writing. 

It's been fascinating talking with Kami 

(or, as I call her, "Aiata") 

when I'm acting like my main charry, Cho.

I get to see how the two would interact 

in real life.

Making them all the more tangible to me.

Kami/Aiata is gifted in cooking, analyzing, kindness... 

And she's amazing with designs.

Just looking at these penna etchings she did on my hands, 

I feel like I'm in my main man's (Toraj's) desert home. 

I feel like I'm in my book.

Am I crazy for having so many muses living inside me?

But... aren't we all a patchwork of people? 

Aren't we walking quilts of the ones who've sewn us?

"I Did Art Instead of Homework Today"

The novel, Petrichor

and grocery receipts.

I don't have time for it now,

but one day,

I will write it.

But I mostly made this video because I just bought iLife '09...
...and I wanted to play with it. =D
Now I'll be even more camera-happy!

I'm in the process of writing a book called, Little Butterfly. Usually, I dislike sharing any specific character or plot details for fear of creative theft. But the thought struck me that if I don't publicize anything, I'll publish the book and nobody will be the wiser. So, here you are, a small glimpse:

No worries, I'll hire a proper artist for the actual book cover. But I may actually do the little chapter pictures myself. *sheepish smile* Let's see how far that goal makes it. Hope you enjoy my hen scratchings.

Ah, Little Butterfly. My novel-in-progress. Since I was the squabbly age of 12-years-old, I've developed this story and its characters little by little. It's been stewing inside me all this time because I never knew how I really wanted to display it. I tried a comic, animation, and even contemplated a movie script, choosing actors and everything. (I still don't think that's a bad idea... :P) Finally, I concluded the best (and easiest) way to bring this story to life is to write it down old school style: Book.

BUT, I can't use only one form of artistry. Consequently, I've composed theme songs for some of my main characters. Here are two of those songs, both dealing with "antagonistic" characters: Shenn (main villain) and Ekibosha (Shenn's plunky minion).

As a side note, I'm more in love with Shenn than the "love interest" I created for my heroine. That's not really supposed to happen. Maybe I should work on character development a little more...

I've created the main theme song as well, but I still want to tinker with it some more before presenting it to the public. For now, enjoy!
