"The Coventry Carol"

What are your favorite traditional Christmas songs? There are so many to choose from!
I grew up loving this one because it sounds so "olde" (dates back to the 1500s)
and meditative as it's normally performed with a choir (a capella).

When I looked up the lyrics to learn them for this cover,
I was surprised at how somber the message actually is!
But I love songs that offer a closer perspective on people,
and this one shows a very fearful, yet nurturing side of Mary. ❤
So here is my simple video for a simple cover of a beautiful, traditional piece.

Wishing all you lovely friends a warm and wonderful Christmas!

Animal Therapy

Went for a little animal therapy
while holidaying in Utah for Thanksgiving
on my sister's wee farm.

Gah, I want a kitty!

Little miniature stud captured my heart
and all my apples, too.

Chickens and ducks and turkeys, oh my!

There were baby chicks to hold, aww!

And a beautiful desert sunset to end the happy day. ❤

Happy Toto-ween!

Totoro and scar-y vampire say,
Happy Halloween!

Boo!

...We've already snuck a few of these. Come quickly, trick-or-treaters!

"Come Little Children"

Ooh, I love Halloween! *・゜゚・*☆
This is my interpretation of the iconic (and very spooky) song from Hocus Pocus.
Stealing children to gobble up... it's so dark! ...As is my video (sorry about that).

This song reminds me of all the lore of dark creatures stealing children in the night if they wander or misbehave. This is also a tribute to those beasties, from faeries to namahage to Baba Yaga!

"Silent Night 聖 この夜 w/Babbo"

It's good to be home for the holidays. ❤
An instant happy for me is singing with my babbo.
So thankful he agreed to be filmed. :)

"Hush"

You are walking home alone.
The trees groan as they reach for you, their branches strained by the wind...
or mayhaps something more sinister?

A chill follows you through the door,
and even when you crawl under thick blankets,
it lingers beneath your skin.

In the black of night,
the hallway floorboards creak,
rousing you from your restless sleep,
inviting you to see exactly what has wandered home with you.

真夜中に
In the dead of night
なんか物が
There are things
その目、満月のように開けてて
They open their eyes as wide as the moon
君を見つけて
And find you

I adore folklore and legends more than anything else in cultures.
This piece is influenced by wayward Japanese ghosts. ~(ヘ-_-)へ The obake.
Happy Hallowe'en!

"When Will My Life Begin?"

Your life begins
when you decide it does.
Remembering those who braved the odds and
chose to begin their lives as founding fathers of this country.
Happy Fourth of July!

"Per Me Per Sempre"

"Mine Forever"
is Italian composer, Eros Ramazzotti's,
tribute to his daughter.

It also happens to be a song
my babbo and I
love to sing together.

Happy Father's Day!
