"I'd swim the ocean for you. Lol jk, there are sharks in there." -Anon.
Last night,
I had just finished reading the chapters
in the scriptures
which described the natural disasters
the natives endured before Christ's coming . . .
when my bed began to tremble violently.
In reflection,
the water belongs to the fish,
the air to the bird . . .
so when the ground that belongs to you
refuses to let you walk freely upon it,
your world,
quite literally,
flips topsy-turvy,
and you realize how very fragile,
how very small you are.
Earthquakes. Gosh.
If I'm being completely honest,
it was the single most terrifying
AND the most thrilling thing
I have yet experienced,
all five seconds of it.
{PS: Nothing broke.}
Wow! That sounds kind of exciting :D but still scary. The only earthquake I remember being was in C-bad and it basically seemed like 11 mac trucks decided to have a race. hahaha. Anyways, I'm glad you are safe and nothing is broken!! <3
ReplyDeleteWow! you are only a few chapters behind me in the scriptures!
ReplyDeleteVery good insight.
I once was given very good advice, to study the scriptures, know of our purpose here on this earth, to understand the atonement of Jesus Christ, and to learn about what will happen in the latter days so that when disasters and terrible things happen in the world I will not be shocked by them, but will know that Heavenly Father is in control.
Any way... there you have it.
