"On Being Sick in a Foreign Country"

"'tis healthy to be sick sometimes." -Henry David Thoreau

I've filled an entire trash can with tissues.
Gross.
But atleast this gives me time to clean my apartment.
{In between naps, of course.}
Golly.
I was the first to get culture shock,
and the first to get sick in our little group of interns.
{I hope I'm the last.}
But, if someone else does get sick
in either way,
Atleast I know how to comfort them now.

  1. I'm sorry to hear it, hon. But I love your positive attitude:

    "And [s]he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto [her], even an hundred fold, yea, more." (D&C 78:19)

    Feel well soon!

    O.

  4. Oh no! *hands you some yummy juice* I'm sick too, but in America :) Mostly I want a popsicle though. Just pretend we're watching Disney movies with some delicious juice, the fireplace, blankets, Archi, and lemonaid popcorn! :D I miss you, feel better soon!! <3

  5. I'm sorry you are so sick!

    I am just stressed out about finances..... oh the joys of having no money and so many demands.... I “get” to go to a school party that will cost me 5500 yen… fun. I got invited to go to Miyajima with the YSA in my ward… I really want to go but don’t know how much that will cost me. It might have to wait for a week or so. I still need to pay for school lunches and transportation. Hopefully I will get some money soon.

    Call me if you need to talk. :D
