"Spider Luck"

Some Japanese believe
if you see a spider in the morning {asa kumo},
it will spin good luck for you.
Likewise, if you see a spider at night {yoru kumo},
it will spin luck against you.
...But what if you slaughter the spider you see in the morning?

...
...
...

I suppose I hairsprayed my good luck to death today, then.
That would explain the second spider in my room.

  1. Oh my. This reminds me of when my hubby smashed a spider and he woke up with a great big spider bite. A little bit ironic and a little bit funny, but the poor guy was going crazy because obviously a spider crawled on him :P I love him so much! and superstitions are only superstitions, unless we choose to believe in them! Basically, it's okay that you smashed a spider as long as you think so. haha... I'm confusing myself....

  2. I work at a daycare now and the students come up to me and say, "Teacher! There's a spider!" And I say, "Gross, keep it away from me!"
