I began composing at age 7, when I figured reading notes took far too much work, and songs could be created just by tuning-in to the music playing in my heart. (Really just a big excuse I made to get out of the hard work it takes to learn musical notation -- learn your theories, friends!) Still today, I struggle with notation (fail at it, really), and prefer to compose purely by ear, no sheet music allowed.
I found my voice a little later in life at the age of 16. After auditioning and making the cut for a teeny-tiny local musical, I felt like singing was an even bigger extension of my personal expression and pursued it with a handful of teachers.
Now I freelance song commissions, ranging from composition to lyric writing services to pure vocal hire. I also collaborate sometimes, so please get in contact if you would like to work together!
